Savor our Ski Mountains from your Luxury Condo

Vermont Ski Mountains

With your new luxury Vermont condo at Mount Vernon, these fabulous ski resorts are but a short drive away!

Jay Peak

Newport’s vista to the west is dominated by Jay Peak, with the lodge at the top giving an unmistakeable jagged tooth at the summit. Jay Peak sits on the Vermont-Canada border, and the view from its summit takes in Lake Champlain, Lake Memphremagog, and Camel's Hump, the tallest peak in the Green Mountains.

Jay averages 355 inches of snow a year—at least 100 inches more than others in the region. The summit elevation is 3,968 feet with a vertical drop of 2,153 feet. The mountain boasts 8 lifts and 385 skiable acreage (plus 200 acres off-piste). Since 1987, the resort has cut 21 glades and two extreme chutes.

A tram takes visitors to the top not only during ski season but in summer and foliage season as well. There are plenty of trails for hiking and mountain biking during the warmer months.

Owl's Head

Owl's Head is a Skiing and Golf resort located near lake Memphremagog in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. Owl's Head is named after the Abenaki Indian's greatest chief, Owl. The ski area has the feeling of an old-time ski club, with it's simple, wooden base lodge and lack of slope side development.

You'll be awestruck by the magnificent views from the top of this mountain with Lake Memphremagog situated below. Owl’s Head is a lovely little mountain that's perfect for families and groups that want gentle skiing and nicely groomed trails.

The ski resort boasts 44 trails serviced by 8 lifts, 4 quads and 4 doubles. It has a 1772 feet vertical drop.

Burke Mountain

Burke Mountain is a gem located in East Burke deep in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Located in the Snow Belt region of Northeast Vermont, Burke Mountain features 250 inches of average annual snowfall, with a 2,000-foot vertical drop. There are 43 maintained trails and over 240 acres of open terrain.

There is no off-limit skiing at Burke, if you can find a way down the mountain, you’re welcome to try it. 25% of the trails are geared towards beginners, 45% for intermediates and about 30% for experts. It is renowned for its spectacular glades, majestic views and “old-style” trails.

Burke offers two lodges accessible by road or by ski trails.
